My name is Ender, and I love to crochet! Since learning from my Grammie in 2015, I have been searching for ways to share this craft with others. From yards of scarves to stuffing the perfect Amigurumi creatures, crocheting has always been a wonderful way to spend my time and connect with others.

In November of 2022, I was on the lookout for a crocheted fidget toy with which to stim. When I didn't find anything I liked, I started experimenting with what I had learned from other patterns. This resulted in my Crocheted Marble Fidget Toys. Originally, they were made from any type of yarn, focusing mainly on color and texture. Now, I crochet these fidgets with only cotton yarn. (Some yarn is a cotton-poly blend.) All fidgets hold a singular spherical bead inside. They're safe to take out in rainy weather, handwash with a towel, and even put through the washer and dryer in a delicate's bag. (The texture will change after the washer/dryer cycle.)

These fidgets are so much FUN!! And, they serve many different stimming styles. They're made to be multifunctional, meaning a person can do many different things with them. Personally, I dislike fidgets that have only one function or purpose: only spinning, only rubbing, only popping. Marble fidgets are meant to appeal to people who enjoy Auditory, Tactile, and/or Visual stimming.

Auditory: By shaking the Marble Fidget, a small "thump" noise can be heard as the marble shakes around. Otherwise, this is a completely silent fidget. (Ideal for classrooms, meetings, and other quiet locations!)

Tactile: Not only can tactile stims be satisfied by tracing the rows of the crocheted fidget, but also by squeezing, rolling up, gently stretching, and pinching the marble back and forth. Due to the size of the fidget, it can easily be used with only one hand, but happily used with two hands.

Visual: Each of these fidgets was crocheted with careful consideration to the end result. With pretty patterns and solid colors, one can stare and watch the rows change. Certain patterns have perfect transitions between colors, adding to the fun of this visual stim.
